On January 1, 2016, TNO in collaboration with partners started a shared research initiative with joint funding: the TNO Shared Research Program (SRP) Food Allergy.
Since the start on January 1, 2016, new research topics were added and several new partners joined our initiative. The SRP Food Allergy develops and disseminates knowledge and technology to improve food allergen and allergy management, methods for the assessment of allergenicity of (novel) proteins, and methods to support immune health maintenance and optimization.
In view of the successful first 3 years, TNO and partners recently decided to prolong the program and formulated our next 3-year goals for one of the research topics: how to ensure the safety of your labeling choices for allergens?
For more information on our research goals, see our 1-pager on this topic: TNO-How to ensure the safety of your labeling choices for allergens
